Equimec Tape Broad Spectrum Antiparasitic Paste for Horse

Equimec Tape Broad Spectrum Antiparasitic Paste is a potent oral treatment formulated to protect horses against a wide range of internal parasites. The paste contains ivermectin and praziquantel as the active ingredients. This active formula controls tapeworms and adult and immature stages of roundworms (ascarids).

This single, low-volume dose also protects against various species of small strongyles and large strongyles. The composition aids in controlling pinworms, hairworms, large-mouth stomach worms, neck threadworms, bots, lungworms, and intestinal threadworms. Equimec Tape is also effective for the control of skin lesions caused by Habronema and Draschia spp., cutaneous larvae (summer sores), and Onchocerca spp. microfilariae (cutaneous onchocerciasis).

Dosage Guidelines:

The recommended dose level of Equimec Tape is 200µg Ivermectin/kg and 1mg/kg Praziquantel liveweight and is given orally
The contents of one syringe will treat one horse at 600 kg liveweight
Each weight marking on the syringe plunger will deliver 1.29g of paste, which is sufficient to treat 100kg liveweight
To administer, unlock the knurled ring by making a ¼ turn to the left
Adjust the plunger shaft to the prescribed weight marking
Turn the knurled ring ¼ to the right to lock it in place
Make sure there’s no feed in the horse’s mouth
Remove the plastic cap from the tip of the nozzle
Insert the syringe into the side of the horse’s mouth and place it in the gap between the front and the back teeth
Deliver the paste to the back of the tongue by pressing the plunger completely
Raise the horse’s head for a few seconds immediately after administration to ensure the full dose has been swallowed
